Position: Partnership management

Division / Department: Purchasing / Purchasing holistic new technology

Location: Beijing

Main goals and objectives:

This function ensures the implementation of today’s and future battery cell partnerships in China and rest of Asia, being responsible for all tasks related to partnership management, e.g. alignment with internal/external parties, negotiations with cell manufacturers and other suppliers, preparation of necessary management briefings and documents.

Your Responsibilities:

• Defines objectives and scope of partnership activities; aligns with corporate strategy

• Represents the VW Group in current and future partnership negotiations with battery suppliers

• Coordinates and aligns activities and work packages with internal departments to achieve partnership objectives (e.g. M&A, legal, R&D, Q)

• Identifies key strategic insights, develops measures and prepares management briefings

• Coordinates and aligns with external partners, e.g. consultancies and agencies

Our Requirements:

• College/university degree, preferably in the field of business administration or similar

• Strong self-motivation, assertiveness, analytical skills, problem solving, prioritizing ability

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Target-oriented work style, high willingness to learn and to take over responsibility

• Mobility / Flexibility (100% willingness to travel)

• At least 3 years of work experience in automotive or consulting industry preferred

• Language skills: fluent English, Chinese native speaker, German is a plus
