Introduction to the Role:

We are a startup team in Shanghai, China and the Marketing team is the key driver of italki’s business. Our campaigns span through both online (social media, content, digital ads, email, blogs, publications, affiliate networks, public relations, etc.) and offline mediums (magazines, print, events, etc.). Being an internet-based business focused on a global market, it is essential that we keep growing and improving our marketing strategy by channeling fresh, innovative ideas and putting them into action.

We are looking for a dynamic, action-driven individual with a strong balance of both analytical and communication skills. The Partnerships and Influencer Specialist will focus on multiple facets of italki’s acquisition channels including Sponsorships and Partnerships, and will be responsible for optimizing those channels through research, analysis, and execution.

Key Responsibilities
Assist, plan and manage the growth of advertising campaigns with influencers to ensure optimal visibility.
Develop & maintain relationships with platform partners, media influencers, and key bloggers.
Generate leads and drive customer acquisition by driving paid and organic partnerships.
Identifying and targeting new business opportunities.
Provide weekly reports to management and monthly analysis of the results.

Minimum Requirements:
Fluent in English and in one of the following languages: Portuguese/Spanish/Japanese/Arabic. Knowledge of Mandarin Chinese is a plus
Proactive approach to identifying opportunities and generating leads
Strong communication and negotiation skills
A degree in Business, marketing, finance, or business information technology is a plus
Experienced with MS Office, Excel or other Spreadsheet software
Eager to learn and develop career further in Digital Marketing
Interested in technology, language learning
Experienced in Photoshop or other image editing software is a plus
