With our Daimler Truck China team, we are creating the future of Daimler Trucks in China. Our international workforce is responsible for building business and operations at our Joint Venture in Huai Rou (Beijing). Our Truck product will tap into the evolving premium segment based on our reliable Daimler Trucks platform technology, localized and tailored for China.

With your role in Parts Engineering and Logistics Operations, you will contribute to all areas of the Spare Parts Engineering and Logistics to establish market readiness for the heavy-duty Truck project. You will lead your topics to ensure optimal stock inventory and service level to achieve maximized availability at economic aspects. Your concepts enhance market potential exploitation at a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Main objectives:
- Shape the Spare Parts Wholesale set-up, ready to operate
- Integrate global standards with suitable fit into the Joint Venture setting
- Adapt and implement the operational product lifecycle workflow
- Represent your area within the Project and towards all stakeholders
Key tasks
Establish and maintain the overall sub-project planning for the working area, ensure tracking and regular progress reporting. Plan, organize and align all tasks to set-up operational readiness and ensure Retail preparation by start-of-Sales.
Form, lead and guide interdisciplinary working groups to develop content, elaborate solutions and expedite implementation.
Steer and overlook the creation of the After-Sales spare parts Bill-of-Material; together with the Engineering functions define commodities, single spare parts and kits for market launch relevant repairs job; i.e. for maintenance, wear and tear, accident and powertrain repair.
Establish volume calculation, order and replenishment methods in close collaboration with Procurement functions and propose initial inventory and the Retail network launch basket.
Analyze the current spare parts logistic set-up including warehousing, supply and distribution chain, inventory and stock management; elaborate and align integration concepts.
Set standards for logistics operations and describe Key Performance Indicators to ensure transparent monitoring and development action.
Define operational details to parts packing, labeling, in-/outbound handling and storage. Align and implement workflow processes.
Set requirements on functionality and integration of spare parts related IT systems to professionally operate all areas of the business.
Lead the implementation of the standard spare parts number coding system with your IT and business partners; ensure consistent processes to spare parts master file data exchange and regular update. Design and implement life-cycle change management practices.
