Parts Pricing Specialist (12 month maternity contract)

Job Description
  • Accountable for pricing strategies to support BMW Group and departmental objectives in all Aftersales business areas (e.g. Lifestyle, Accessories, Automotive Chemicals, Collision, Wholesale).
  • Conducts analysis and proposes measures and changes in coordination with Aftersales Business Development to reach overall targets and maximize profitability.
  • Maintains over 230,000 parts skews with the BMW automobile, Motorrad and MINI automobile business. Ensuring pricing is current, competitive and profitable for both NSC and Retailers.
  • Responsible for analyzing and implementing parts pricing for AG Pricing structural changes, monthly segmentations, locally sourced items and warranty requirements; propose and implement effective policies to retain a competitive market position while maximizing Retailer and NSC profits.
  • Responsible for, and develops and maintains price structures to ensure fair, market-driven pricing based on model segmentation, application, aftersales segment and age of vehicles.
  • Responsible for generating and maintaining Aftersales reports to track departmental performance including sales, target achievement, profit achievement. Takes part in presenting for all levels of Aftersales Management and Executive Management as required. Identifies challenges and makes countermeasure recommendations.
  • Responsible for communicating pricing to Retailers, DMS providers, insurance companies, etc. and aligning IT systems accordingly.
  • Maintain master parts data for all parts in ATLAS; communicate and push price changes, special programs, and packages out to vendors, Retailers.
  • Responsible for maintaining our core BMW and MINI Value Service Packages\Pricing program through the use of SRP-MM tool and monitor sales, profit and performance for the parts included in the service packages. Makes regular recommendations to Aftersales Management on how to optimize the program.
  • University degree, preferably in Business or Finance.
  • Strong current automotive background at either the Retailer or manufacturer level.
  • Familiarity with pricing models and analysis.
  • Strong ability to upward manage peers, Managers and Director -evel on matters of profitability.
  • Ability to take complex analytics and translate into a digestible business talk track, presentation or report.
  • Well-developed PC skills (MS office, Excel), Tableau and SAP systems; analytical and organizational skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce summary analytics and handle large data bases.
