Having a passion for food and beverage, you will play an integral role in driving our food, beverage and events offerings.  Your versatility and broad skill set will be showcased at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel.

What you will be doing:

• Prepares and bakes all items for menu and catered events following standardized recipes
• Uses weights and measures to adjust ingredients in recipes
• Production of pralines and petite fours
• Produce showpieces and wedding cakes when required
• Operates, cleans and performs minor maintenance of machinery and equipment

Your experience and skills include:

• Ability to teach in all aspects of pastry
• Excellent time-management
• Initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Self-motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions
• Ability to manage inventory and costs
• Attention to detail

Physical Requirements Include:

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
