AstraZeneca’s vision in Oncology is to help patients by redefining the cancer-treatment paradigm, with the aim of bringing six new cancer medicines to patients between 2013 and 2020. A broad pipeline of next-generation medicines is focused principally on four disease areas - breast, ovarian, lung and hematological cancers. As well as other tumor types, these are being targeted through five key platforms - immunotherapy, the genetic drivers of cancer and resistance, DNA damage repair, HER2 and antibody drug conjugates, underpinned by personalized healthcare and biomarker technologies.
Key responsibilities
Patient Experience Lead
- Lead BC patient strategies and deliverables to optimize patient experience across the ENHERTU treatment journey (ILD narrative, therapy management support, patient to patient programs)
- Collaborate with R&D and Digital Health to shape the development and go to market approaches for digital therapeutic solutions
- Build robust understanding around the patient experience, illuminating clinical and non-clinical pain points and key opportunities across different geographies and settings of care
- Earn reputation for patient leadership and trust with high-impact patient initiatives and meaningful engagement
Global Brand Leadership & Launch Readiness
- Lead planning and execution for specific high-impact global brand deliverables critical to establishing ENHERTU leadership across HER2+ and HER2Low Breast Cancer
- Drive BC strategy and insights development around key congresses – ensuring internal preparedness, alignment and clarity on BC data and implications
- Strengthen global community of ENHERTU experts, driving KEE mapping and key engagements
- Drive launch readiness across HER2+ and HER2Low, working closely with countries to ensure alignment and readiness across multiple indications
Essential Requirements
- Track record of leadership as a driver of innovation and success in marketing (commercial experience at country level preferred)
- Marketing leadership in specialty area working on growth or launch brands (with preference for oncology)
- Demonstrated track record of cross-functional leadership across marketing, insights, market access, medical and other functions to advance brand strategy and critical brand initiatives
- Demonstrated experience in leading across regions and markets to ensure strong executional commercial focus and consistency
- Bachelor’s degree required; Post-graduate degree in relevant field desired
- Leadership competencies, to set direction, inspire commitment, balance short and long term needs and constructively resolve issues
- Strong business acumen and complex problem-solving skills
