Payroll Accounting Specialist with Danish

Introduction/Job Purpose

Payroll Accounting Specialist with Danish will be responsible for ensuring correct, timely and complete processing of payroll for all assigned countries (Denmark, Ireland and Finland and potentially other Scandinavian countries) and maintaining associate service center for support of associates, local authorities (e.g. social security, tax office), internal and external audits, and other internal and external teams that cooperates with Payroll.

The role will also ensure the internal control and governance compliance within payroll and related aspects.

 

What are we looking for?

• Proven business accounting/finance experience including payroll
• Proven experience with Danish payroll required
• Experience in other payroll within North Europe countries will be an asset
• University degree, preferably within Finance and Accounting (or accounting certifications)
• English & Danish languages required
• Other languages desired: Norwegian/Swedish/Finnish
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent planning and organizational skills/ability to organize workload and deadlines
• Business process management experience desired
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of customers
• Ability to work as part of a team and alone

 

What would be your key responsibilities?

• For dedicated countries/units (Denmark, Ireland and Finland), ensure 100% correct and timely salary payments to all associates
• Collect and organize payroll inputs from different parties: own inbox, local HR, external providers, associate’s payroll portals; Send inputs to external payroll providers
• Review external providers pay slips and get the approval
• Check correctness of actions processed by other employees
• Prepare input for annual bonus to all associates as per targets achieved
• Answer to payroll queries (both internally from associates and externally from providers)
• Payroll payment clearings in SAP and payroll reconciliations
• Preparation and booking of relevant payroll accruals (e.g. salary, pension, bonuses)
• Entering payroll and personal data into SAP according to the documents received from the unit and associates on time and according to the procedures
• Work towards harmonizing payroll processes & systems among the units covered
• Participate in relevant project and initiatives
