What is this role?

The successful candidate for a Payroll Administrator will process payroll for 4 business units in the US and 2 business units in Canada.  Payrolls are run bi-weekly or semi-monthly.  The candidate will also provide support to the Financial Controllership department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Process new hires, terminations, employee changes and voluntary deductions in the payroll system
  • Process manual checks such as terminations and discrepancies
  • Prepare and process hourly and salaried bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls
  • Prepare and process garnishments
  • Calculate new hire pay, termination pay, and any required adjustment to normal pay
  • Process stop payments or adjustments of payroll
  • Ensure that computing, withholding, and deductions are done correctly
  • Provide reports and cash reconciliations to Financial Controllers
  • Respond to employee queries and other duties as assigned

 

Required skills & qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience with payroll
  • Experience in ADP Workforce Now is a Plus
  • Experience with Canada Payroll a Plus
  • Proficient with Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and quality
  • BS Degree in Business Admin, Finance, or Accounting – a PLUS but not required

Pay: $25-32/hr. - Actual rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to: position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt
