Job Description
Job Summary The BPO - Payroll is primarily responsible for the delivery of payroll services within the region. Specifically, this will entail providing strategic direction, coordinating execution with internal (Eaton) stakeholders and owning the operational relationship with the external (third party) service provider. Further key responsibilities will be supporting the EMEA Payroll program (Season), whilst maintaining customer satisfaction and quality standards aligned with company goals, and responsibility for the central payroll team being created in Budapest. Job Responsibilities Lead the payroll process for the region: Responsible for the design of the payroll process Responsible for the payroll team structure in the region Responsible for the control environment around the payroll process and ensures all Eaton payroll related policies are followed Responsible for the payment of all payroll runs to employees, pensioners, and 3rd party vendors Responsible for the booking of all monthly payroll entries into the financial systems Responsible for the review of the monthly reconciliations and ensuring resolution of any anomalies Support ad hoc issue resolution as appropriate Support the regional payroll project (Season) as necessary to ensure its successful delivery, & drive standardization, simplification, automation & centralization wherever possible Support ongoing/annual legal changes which impact payroll calculations, reporting or other compliance requirements Ensure all tax year-end reporting requirements are met and support all statutory payroll audits Support all payroll activities related to M&A activity Manage the customer relationship with the outsourced payroll vendor Qualifications Qualifications Education level required: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from an accredited institution or equivalent professional degree Strong English language capabilities is essential, additional language skills would be advantageous. Years and area of experience required: 10+ years’ experience in a payroll environment preferably. Technical knowledge: Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Outlook) Previous experience of statutory payroll accounting & compliance would be essential. Soft skills: Excellent Communication (Written and Verbal) and interpersonal skills, Attention to detail, Data driven mindset, Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships, Drive for results (achieving key on time delivery metrics) and collaborative style, Demonstrated ability to take ownership of an assignment and customer satisfaction.
