Bentley Systems is seeking a Payroll Specialist with a positive attitude who will partner with our Payroll Manager as well as other members of our Finance and HR teams to process US and Canadian payroll. Location: This position will have a flexible hybrid schedule, alternating between home office and our Exton, PA corporate headquarters, at least two days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the payroll team in processing of multi-state/multi-province payrolls for 1800+ employees in the US and Canada.
- Ensure accurate processing of all data entry changes, time & attendance data and meet payroll deadlines.
- Assist with Data Entry of new hires, terminations, and employee changes, for US and Canada. Especially during acquisitions.
- Assist in handling employee payroll inquiries and problem resolution in a timely manner via the payroll mailbox. Ability to research problems as they arise and offer detailed findings.
- Participate in special Finance projects.
- Assist in yearend reconciliations.
- Assist with WC reconciliations.
- Verification of Employment Processing using The Work Number
- Ensure accurate processing of all time & attendance data
- Audit payroll entries and provide audit reports and back up to payroll manager prior to payroll transmittal.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with all federal, state, province and local payroll regulations.
- Assist garnishment processing from interrogatories through payment distribution.
- Assist with Executive Equity Income reporting and taxation.
- Assist in annual audits.
- AD-HOC Reporting utilizing ADP iReports.
- Work closely with the payroll manager on system evaluations and upgrades.
- Participate in special Finance projects.
- As part of payroll, finance and a larger company initiative work to identify areas of control deficiency, room for process improvement and best practice implementation.
Qualifications:
- Accounting degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years ADP payroll experience.
- Multi-state US payroll experience required.
- Canadian payroll experience strongly preferred.
- SuccessFactors experience desired.
- Excellent PC skills (MS Excel & Word)
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Confidentiality and tact in dealing with sensitive employee information
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet critical payroll deadlines
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and prioritize conflicting demands of time
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
