GENERAL FUNCTIONS

This position works within the Payroll team to help support day to day activities such as historical edits and payroll self-service issues. The role assist with providing support to internal customers concerning payroll and time and attendance practices.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with payroll and time administration for North America
  • Responsible for ensuring high quality service delivery for all BD associates consistent with the values of BD and the expectations of the NA HR Service delivery model.
  • Within the assigned area of responsibility (Time and Labor Administration) and under the direction of the Payroll Time and Labor Team Lead:
  • Specific responsibilities include:
    • Shared responsibility for the successful administration of outsourced payroll for North America associates
    • Help ensure data/time uploads are conducted in a timely and accurate manner
    • Analyze bi-weekly audits
    • Proactively ensures new hires attain timely access to the time keeping system
    • Assist as needed with project related duties
    • Using MS Excel, manage data needed for payroll projects
    • Assist with Tier One phone inquiries and case management
    • Other duties as assigned

  • Proficient skills in project management
  • Proficient skills using MS Excel 
  • Extremely detail-orientated and accurate
  • Proven relationship building and conflict resolution skills

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years basic office experience; strongly prefer experience in ADP Enterprise eTime
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Ability to perform work with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong mathematical skills with ability to research, analyze, and correct time and payroll data
  • Ability to communicate in a precise and clear manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal/external contacts 
  • Knowledge of payroll policy and practice across US, Puerto Rico and Canada is a plus
  • Industry experience: 
  • Desired - Experience working in mid/large complex environment

Knowledge and Skills

Required: Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis in Excel and Word. Experience with SAP strongly desired.
