Job Description

In this role, you will be part of Intel Assembly Test Manufacturing Logistics(ATML) Transportation Operation (TO) with primary focus to support DMO- Pelican program in Penang site as the Transportation Operation Manager. You will be accountable to manage Transportation Operations primarily for DMO- Pelican Factory by leveraging suppliers in meeting all required indicators and fulfilment of stakeholders and customer requirements tied to Transportation Operations. As the Transportation Operations Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

1) Manage ATML-wide transportation responsibilities for all commodities for DMO-Pelican stakeholders

2)Manage Cross Sites DMO/ATM/Business Unit, internal, external stakeholders in addressing and fulfilling Transportation Operational requirements.

3)Partner with DMO logistics/GFM peers in ensuring Transportation indicators for Pelican such as On Time Delivery, Quality, meets goal with solid governance process in place.

4) Provide support and align with Local Account Manager(LAM) in managing Transportation operation in meeting all customer requirement, indicators, development of back up freight suppliers, etc.

5) Develop Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) on ATML Transportation Operations business/operational/stakeholder requirements.

6) Drive and manage DH LLP (On Site Manager, Control Tower, On Site Supervisor) in meeting ATML TO requirements from KPI, stakeholders, perspective.

7) Build knowledge in upcoming Global Logistics Operations(GLO) Digitization programs such as TMS, Control Tower and leverage DHL LLP, Freight Supplier in enabling the program goal for ATML TO.

8) Forward Looking in driving industry transportation best practices/benchmarking to our LLP and freight suppliers.

9)Utilizes analytical and advanced emerging skills (which may include automation, Artificial Intelligence)to help solve and drive Intel's business execution and solutions.

10) The ideal candidate would exhibit strong communication, influencing, presentation and negotiation skills as the job role requires heavy interactions with senior management such as Vice President of Intel Business Units, Senior Factory/Business Unit Managers across the globe from internal stakeholders and external suppliers.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or closely related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Operations and data analytics (Power BI, Tableau or alternative data analytics tools).
  • Experience in managing freight suppliers, exposure to transportation operation dynamics, global trade, tax and customs formalities is an added advantage.
  • Flexible to work across different time zones to support business objectives.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Supply Chain or Business Analytics.
  • Logistics or Supply Chain related experience.
  • Sound knowledge on transportation operations, customers/stakeholder management, ability to perform in a high paced dynamic environment.
