You will be responsible for planning, leading and coordinating performance controlling activities for NAM Advanta. The primary responsibility of the position is to provide a transparent and all-encompassing controlling within the Division and respective Business Units, ensuring all processes like forecasting, budgeting, month-end closing, performance reviews managed efficiently, KPIs are controlled in great detail and processes are optimized to suit the business needs. Responsibilities As Performance Controller for NAM Advanta, you will be responsible for the planning process at the Division and BU level, including the monthly forecast process as well as the annual budget process. You will ensure process and content alignment with the headquarters in Germany and with the country management. The month-end closing activities for the Division and BUs will be a key responsibility, ensuring clean books and records for the business at all times. You will closely control all relevant business KPIs, including but not limited to volume development, SG&A, headcount, free cash flow, balance sheet and ensure the achievement of targets. If deviations are found, you will take corrective actions with the team to bring the development back on track. The regular profitability-, trend- and variance-analysis on Division/BU/Segment/Vertical level will allow you to make suggestions and advise management. The monthly performance reviews with the segments will be prepared by you, indicating focus topics for each discussion and adapting the content of reviews to the business needs. You will be responsible for managing programs or initiatives, with the support of a cross-functional team. Moreover, you will coordinate and actively drive the productivity activities of the Business Unit. You will be business partner to Advanta Division and Business unit level cost centers, for example marketing. You will support the Division and BU Management with ad-hoc analyses as well as with presentations internally and externally. The constant optimization of processes is an integral part of this role where you will actively strive to improve. You will work closely with the extended finance community and continuously enhance and improve reporting processes. You will act as a digital ambassador within ADV FIN and translate fresh tools, processes and digital ideas to the everyday tasks of the NAM ADV FIN team. Provides regular business reports, with respect to overall performance and be the primary contact regarding audits and reporting Critically review and consolidate Financial commentaries on a monthly basis Key user of the Planning Tool, support implementation and internal training to the Finance community Continuous improvement of existing tool and process landscape along with strong sense of ownership to improve financial and non-financial results Required Skills, Experience, and Education BS/BA or similar in business administration or finance Typically 5+ years of successful experience, preferably in HQ, project or manufacturing environments Specialist in financial processes such as controlling, budgeting and forecasting, reporting and productivity. Strong commitment to adherence of compliance requirements, procurement related topics and IFRS and SFRGs. Solid business acumen and ability to interact and communicate with all levels of management. Highly developed analytical skills and detail-orientation with the ability to gather, structure, consolidate and analyze large amounts of financial information and develop an overarching view, also in graphical format, that describes the key message for management. Hands-on proficiency with planning and reporting Experienced in cross-functional collaboration and communication in an international environment Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices Strong communication, presentation, written and oral skills Advanced working knowledge of SAP (FI/CO), Essbase and Hyperion Ability to effectively manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Proven work experience under pressure Team oriented; gets along well with others; strong sense of emotional awareness; builds constructive and effective relationships; uses diplomacy and tact; Demonstration of strong sense of ownership for process improvements and internal digitalization of processes, ideally with prior exposure to data analysis. Proficient with MS Office, SAP, Hyperion, Essbase, Tableau – additional digitalization tools are a plus.
