Position Description: This engineering position within Lenovo Data Center Group primary mission is to ensure Lenovo's x86 servers deliver differentiated performance which results in a competitive advantage among other x86 server suppliers. This position will be specifically responsible for the validation of the Lenovo server  networking functions and features. Candidate will be expected to work globally with colleagues in China and the USA to analyze and solve system issue which include new technologies being introduced. This position will require the candidate to study and become familiar with product specifications along with available technical document from suppliers as well as industry standard forum. This position will also require the candidate to create and execute validation plans (networking//protocols), and documentation. If defects are encounter the candidate will expected to debug and open a product defect. The candidate will also be expected to communicate their project status and validation progress. Success will be measured based on results and timely delivery of assigned task, communication, and analytical skill. #### Position Requirements: O - An applied knowledge in x86 computer architecture and of its peripheral components i.e.  Network Adapter, RAID Adapter, GPU, Storage devices, Processor, and Memory. The ability to swap hardware subassemblies and commodities. O - An understanding of available networking adapters, network speeds and technologies i.e. RJ45, Fibre Optic, Infiniti band, and LOM. O - A proven ability to work cross functionally with  other functional areas to respond to customer concerns and inquiries related to network performance degradation. O - Linux Operating System mastery i.e. RedHat, Suse, Ubunto, and CentOS – possessing a Linux related certification is a Plus. O - Will possess 5+ years of developing test automation using C,C++, Python, Perl, XML and 5+ years of using uEFI or BIOS system. O - Should have 5+ years of experience with documenting technical finding involving self-study / test execution / analysis and the ability to use this know-how and knowledge create status reports and other relevant documents. O - Prior experience working at an ODM, testing lab, or computer system benchmarking agency for a least 5 years in a project-type environment is a Plus. O - Prior experience executing network adapter/s validation plans is a Plus. O - Prior experience of using iPerf and NetPerf (Linux performance measurement tool) are a Plus.
