About Role:
To support Lenovo Datacenter Group’s mission of helping server becomes
competitive among the competitors in view of system tuning and performance
enhancement features in order to achieve higher benchmark score.
Responsibility:
You will work globally with lab from China and USA to tackle and solve system
issue and work on new technology that brought forth by the marketing.
The engineer will engage in studying of product’s specification and available
technical document from suppliers or industry standard forum.
The individual will write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and
documentation for assigned technical area that will uncover an issue and debug
accordingly.
The engineer will need to communicate the both the status and test progress to
supervisor. The KPI of this engineer is measured by the timely deliverable of
assigned task, communication skill, and analytical skill.
#### Position Requirements:
To have the keen knowledge in x86 computer architecture and awareness of
peripheral components such as Network card, RAID card, GPU, Storage devices,
Processor, and Memory.
Understanding and experience on Intel suite of tools such as Parallel
Studio, Stream Benchmark, Memory Latency Checker and in addition Linpack.
To have the technical knowledge to tune and increase the performance based
of the scores or data that generated from the above-mentioned tools.
To have 8+ years of operating and programming BIOS under x86 architecture is
a plus.
To have the keen knowledge of using MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint for
getting the point across.
To have worked at ODM, testing lab, or computer system benchmarking agency
for 8+ years in a project-like environment.
To have at least 8+ years of working and familiarize with commands of Linux-
based operating system such as RedHat, Suse, Ubunto, and CentOS. Candidate is
expecting to have the skill to write script to auto execute.
To have 8+ years of developing test automation using C,C++, Python, Perl,
XML
To have 8+ years of using uEFI or BIOS equipped system and enable to operate
it
To have 8+ years of experience on documenting technical finding from self-
study / testing / debugging and formulate these know-how and knowledge into
status report or document for stakeholders to reference.
Having Linux related certification is a plus.
To have 8+ years of experience conducting the industry-wide recognizable
benchmark such as SPECcpu, SPECjbb, SPECpower, and SPECvirt is a plus.
