Pet Parent Partners Veterinarian

Franklin, TN

The Pet Parent Partners Veterinarian is a key member of a broader Pet Parent Partners (consumer experience) team responsible for driving trust with pet parents by delivering personal, timely and credible reactive and proactive information. The Pet Parents Partners Veterinarian plays a critical role achieving that vision by supporting the frontline Pet Parent Partners (consumer experience) team with the pet health and nutrition related training, education, and resources they need to empower pet parents with the information they need. 

The Pet Parent Partners Veterinarian must exercise independent judgment and provide accurate information while adapting and applying the guidelines specified by Pet Parent Partners Standard. The primary correspondence universe will be the veterinary community, shelter and breeder communities and pet parents. This role may also be responsible for contributing to educational content that will live on various marketing channels.

What we are looking for:

• BSc degree in science related field required 
• MSc in related field or DVM desired 
• Positive, service-oriented attitude. Consumer Care experience preferred.  
• Well-developed customer service skills (personal, courteous, and professional), preferably inbound. 
• Technical Learning - strong technical learning ability and the skills to translate scientific knowledge to explanations that are meaningful to consumers and veterinarians. 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. 
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and consistently delivers high quality and quantity of output. 
• Requires outstanding problem solving, follow-through, attention to detail and organizational skills. 
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in related work 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pet parents with personalized expert advice on health & nutrition through different communication channels and formats such as 1-on-1 consultations, Q&As etc.
• Support cross-sell by providing recommendations from across Mars Petcare products and services
• Support and coach agents to develop basic pet health & nutrition knowledge
• Direct pet parents to general scientific content across channels (blogs, articles, tips)
• Provide pet parents with personalized pet health and nutritional advice 
• Be available for appointments and/or events to provide expert advice
• Stay up-to-date on cutting edge service experience offerings and evaluate need/value of new features and experiences in line with brand growth strategies and pet parent needs
