Job Description
We are looking for PHDs with a Mechanical Engineering background to join our European PhD Engineering Development Programme in 2019/2020.
Air Products offers challenging opportunities for Mechanical Engineers who are either in the process of completing or completed their PhDs within the last two years (post 2017). The programme is structured as 3 x 12-month diverse assignments, based throughout the UK and continental Europe. You can complete these assignments in cryogenic separations, energy, gas application technologies including combustion, metal manufacturing /fabrication, plant operation, engineering, specialty gases, water treatment and food.
Your qualification and skills – what we’d like you to have:
Candidates should be innovative and skillful, with a particular interest in experimental research and modeling. We are looking for individuals with the best-trained minds, who are enthusiastic and motivated, can work effectively as part of a team, keen to learn new techniques and apply their skills in a commercial organisation.
If you have a Mechanical Engineering background, currently completing or have recently completed your PhD, and you feel you are ready for a commercial challenge then why not take advantage of our European PhD Opportunities? You will also need to be fully mobile and willing to relocate during the course of the programme, if successful, as our assignments are based in the UK and mainland Europe. Finally, you need to possess a clean UK driving license in time for the start of the programme.
