Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours. Your tasks and responsibilities: The PhD is supervised by the "Virtual and Augmented Reality" group of the Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Magdeburg and takes place in cooperation with the clinical partners of the Medical Faculty of the University of Magdeburg and the German Heart Center Berlin In the context of your PhD, you will conduct a feasibility study on the topic "Simulation of interventional cardiovascular procedures (e.g., TAVR) for game-based learning of clinical treatment pathways" This includes conception, development (Unreal Engine or Unity 3D, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, 3D projection display) and verification with clinical partners as well as close interaction with the Extended Reality Cluster within Siemens Healthineers To find out more about the specific business, have a look at https://www.siemens-healthineers.com/products-services Your qualifications and experience: You have a master's or diploma degree in computer science or an equivalent degree in a similar discipline You have a good understanding of and experience with game development tools like Unreal Engine, e.g., with the blueprint and animation system and the handling of morph targets in a 3D model You have a good knowledge of optimizing software applications for the performance of end devices (especially in VR) as well as 3D design You have programming skills in C# Your attributes and skills: You have a very good command of German and English, both written and spoken You are characterized by a structured, goal-oriented and success-oriented way of working You have good communication skills You are interested in clinical-medical workflows and cardiovascular interventions Does this sound like you?
