We have an exciting opportunity to join our Digital Industries Division in the UK/Ireland region, as a Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences Business Development Manager and help us re-imagine the world by finding solutions and making the world a smarter place for tomorrow.
We are seeking an experienced Sales/Process professional with Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences knowledge in key areas such as Cell and Gene Therapy and Biopharmaceutical.
The position is Home based with location flexibility, functionally aligned to Vertical Sales aligned to Siemens Manchester Headquarters. You will be joining a specialist UK/Ireland Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences team, being fully supported by our Global HQ Pharmaceutical Centre in Germany. Travel within the UK/Ire & on occasions Germany, will be a requirement for the role.

- Support manufacturers implement & deliver their operational and strategic objectives.
- Work with clients to help them realise their operational goals and digital visions.
- Provide close engagement with end users, design authorities to drive specification and design automation standards
- Be a thought leader to the sector providing challenging and insightful viewpoints
- Identify new business opportunities, building account sales plans and implementing strategy & objectives.
- Provide market intelligence & leads into the business
- Work closely with colleagues across Siemens Digital Industries sales, engineering, and services
- Maintain a high data quality through use of Siesales (Salesforce) CRM platform
- Represent Siemens in all sales/strategic activities and act as an interface between the customer and the Siemens organisation (HQ, Divisions, Regions….)
- Deliver your own and contribute to, the team’s sales plans and Divisional targets.
What you need to make real what matters!
- Process knowledge of the Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences sector,
- Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences Sales/Process experience
- Understanding/experience of an Insight/Challenger sales approach
- An understanding of the organisations and technologies deployed within the sector
- Ability to convey Siemens solutions aligned with Operational Technology Systems, with an understanding of Information Technology, Automation Control Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Paperless Manufacturing & digitalisation (Software & Consulting)
- Able to demonstrate capability of setting goals and strategy
- Able to demonstrate leadership qualities
- Demonstrate an understanding of the sector & its supply chain
- Demonstrate advanced capability for executive engagement
- Ability to build and further develop CxO and key decision maker relationships
- Proven negotiator
