In this position as a Physical Design Floorplan Architect, you will be responsible for end to end floorplan and die size for the Visual Compute and Super Compute programs.
You will be part a world class physical design team developing groundbreaking high performance SOC/GPU that are targeted for high-end graphics, gaming, artificial intelligence, media processing and more. This is a great opportunity to join a talented team that is innovating in implementation and verification of multimillion gate designs in advanced process nodes across multiple foundries.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not be limited to:
- Responsible for fullchip floorplan and die size of a full SOC design
- Create floorplan blueprint since early architectural phrase
- Optimize full SOC floorplan and die size
- Die size projection, estimate and tracking
- Collaborate closely with architect, packaging, platform, business and soc design teams
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/ Electronics/Computer Engineering or related discipline with 9+ years of physical design experience. OR a Masters degree in same fields with 6+ years of physical design experience. OR a PhD in same fields:
Your experience must be in one, or more, of the following areas:
- ASIC physical design implementation including 3D-IC.
- SOC and IP Floorplanning
- Architectural definition for optimization of product cost, implementation schedule and other parameters.
- CAD flow development and methodology definition for APR Auto Place and Route on leading technologies
- Power performance area (PPA) optimization through architectural as well as logic-design and EDA tools
- Demonstrated problem solving in ASIC planning.
- Proficiency with Industry standard EDA planning and implementation tools
Preferred qualifications
- Unix, Linux, Perl or TCL programming
- Graphics architecture understanding
- Logic design and microarchitecture

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
