Job Description

The Physical Logistics team are responsible for all product movement and storage processes on site In-Bound and Out-Bound Including none series parts. Working with our Logistics Service Partners, We ensure stock is transported safely and stored in the provided locations before being supplied onwards in FIFO (First-In-First-Out) basis. The team use a number of IT systems to control parts in and through the business which provides transparency on each movement, condition and location. It’s the teams’ responsibility to manage the service providers and make sure they follow the correct processes and look for improvement opportunities

What awaits you?
Analysis and evaluation of planning projects regarding impacts on areas
• Potential assessment (efficiency, area, feasibility) as well as selection of best solutions for the logistics department.
• Consideration of strategic topics while planning, creating and realising the supply concepts
• Support internal financial reporting processes
• Autonomous development, agreement and implementation of supply processes of part families geared to add value.
• Development of business cases and templates incl. representation in the respective decision making bodies in the project or in the line function.
• Monitor and report internal KPI
• Supplier communication& develop negotiation skills.

• Potential candidates should be studying towards an Undergraduate Degree in Business or Engineering ideally with a focus on Logistics and be on track to achieve a 2:1 standard or higher.

• Good analytical skills, flexibility to work on various topics at one time and support operational implementations when required is necessary. Some prior knowledge of logistics processes and industry experience would be advantageous; more important is the ability to learn quickly and to bring original ideas on process improvement opportunities to the team and into the business.

• Candidates should be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of all standard Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel and Powerpoint, some knowledge/exposure to SAP would also be beneficial.

• Good English, Communication and interpersonal skills are also expected with an ability to summarise topics and present clearly. Ability in German language would be an advantage however is not mandatory.
• Have an understanding of logistics in an automotive environment.
