RESPONSIBILITIES

- Leading physics lessons that foster knowledge and generate enthusiasm for science
- Teaching various topics in physics, including: Newton's Laws, Motion, Momentum, Energy, Rotational Mechanics, Universal Gravitation, Special Relativity, Temperature and Heat, Thermodynamics, Vibrations and Waves, Sound and Light, Reflection and Refraction, Diffraction and Interference, Electrostatics, Electric Current, Electric Circuits, Magnetism- Managing small and large groups of students in classroom and lab settings
- Developing syllabi, supervising investigations, and overseeing experiments
- Educating students on physics lab safety and ensuring all experiments are carried out responsibly
- Documenting and keeping track of lab supplies, tools, and equipment
- Demonstrating scientific principles using instructional aides such as models and technology
- Investing in students' well-being, health, and safety, physically, socially, and emotionally
- Preparing students for science fairs and expos
- Maintaining positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents
- Documenting and sharing student grades and evaluations
- Utilizing classroom technologies, internet and email systems, as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours

SALARY

- 28,000 - 33,000 Chinese Yuan per month ($50,000 - $57,000 per year)

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in physics or related field
- 2 years of full-time teaching experience
- Teachers over 60 are not eligible due to China's work visa policies.
- Ability to speak Chinese is NOT required.
- Experience teaching at least one of the following is preferred, but NOT always required: International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), Advanced Placement (AP), Advanced Level (A-Level), IGCSE.
