Eaton’s Vehicle Group, Royal Power Solutions business is currently seeking a picker / packer to join our team. The pay will start at $16.00/hr + $1.00 shift differential and the hours are 4:30pm - 3:00am. We make the electric revolution work. Position Overview: The picker packer will have the responsibility of visual sorting and packing non-conforming parts. Maintaining quality will be an important function and meeting production schedules to achieve manufacturing objectives. In this role you will: Verify product quality based on work instructions and quality check list. Examine parts or observe movement of completed sorts to detect any deficiencies Meet productivity and safety standards Adhere to attendance policies and procedures Identifies low inventory levels and communicates such findings to department supervisor in a timely manner to avoid any negative impacts on production Train new and existing employees on finishing procedures and processes Performs a variety of complicated tasks using sound judgement with little or no daily supervision Sort and pack parts Assembly of various parts/components Comply with 5s Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School diploma or GED Equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: At least 1 year of manufacturing experience is preferred Position Criteria: While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand Ability to work independently Strong emphasis to quality and accuracy Good working knowledge of finishing procedures and processes Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers as needed Basic computer skills Moderate walking Must occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
