Job Description
Eaton’s ICD-Frontera division is currently seeking a Planner to join our team. This position is based at our Juarez facility. The Planner is responsible for effectively collaborates with multiple departments and functions to maintain manufacturing order flow. Develops resolutions for shipping issues and works with shipping/receiving personnel to improve carrier performance. Gathers and manages information using Windows-based systems, AS400 applications and programs, Vista, MAPICS, Order Management Systems, and DMM. Utilizes knowledge of material planning, scheduling, and shipment tracking processes and systems. Works with individuals and groups to perform root cause analyses and facilitate process improvements. Applies stocking strategy solutions as well as trains others in their proper use. Assists in implementing ELS (Lean Manufacturing) techniques throughout the plant. Some activities related with the position will be: Runs reports and provides data analysis to Management Assists team with obstacles that arise including material shortages, quality, tracking Engineering Change Requests and Drawing Change Request Forms electronically or other process obstacles Releases Kanban requirements material via MRP through MAPICS and AS400 Interpret data to make the right purchasing or planning decisions Expedite materials with buyers to improve dates to meet customer needs, via email, Vista, and phone Acknowledge and Maintain Shortage dates Submit and Resolve Change Management Workflows Review schedule and provide updates in production meetings Maintain supplier promise dates in MAPICS browser for every purchase order Maintain the Kanban system: order sizing, stock levels, part set up, part deletion Serve as backup for other planners Champion the use and improvement of Pull/Kanban techniques. Help to identify and disposition of excess or obsolete inventory while minimizing cost Maintain system integrity Other duties as assigned #LI-MM3 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Requires a BS Degree Prior experience working in a manufacturing/materials role Preferred Qualifications: Three or more years of experience working in a complex Materials Planning role Experience leading Kaizen and continuous improvement events Position Success Criteria: Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure parts and components are delivered on time and meet quality specifications. Flex into other departments as needed to ensure customer and Eaton expectations are met.
