Eaton’s Arecibo PR is currently seeking for a Buyer to join our team. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Ensure adequate materials availability & inventory levels as required by Production Plans. This should be driven by the correct and timely execution to MRP exception messages. ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS: Monitor and control inventory levels of materials through the proper use of available tools in AS400-MAPICS system (MRP, Inventory Management, etc…) and sistematic reviews to receipts & returns. Timely and proper execution to MRP exception messages (cancel, defer, place new orders, etc ...) to ensure availability of inventory of material requirements and compliance with the inventory reduction plans. Periodical review and maintenance of all the MRP system parameters driving necessary data integrity to ensure adequate and timely materials procurement. (lead times, MOQ, MPQ, etc ...). Monitor, control and manage receipts, shipments and inventory levels of materials belonging to the commodity. Coordinate and/or provide support on projects of cost reduction, logistics processes optimization, Materials Management, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), etc… Monitor and track performance to metrics of Key Business Indicator within the SRM and Plant Purchasing Scorecard, such as: Suppliers On Time Delivery (OTD), Quality (PPMs/DMRs)), price stability, flexibility and service. Manage open Defective Materials Reports (DMRs) to suppliers ensuring resolution by determined due date. Provide direct support to Finance Department during physical inventory process. Support other areas within the organization (commodity management, quality, production, planning, finance, customer service, engineering, etc ...) as required. Support the introduction of new products and designs in production lines, as well as transfers of existing products. (MESH Responsibilities): Support safety inspections, Gemba Walkarounds as required by MESH department. Compliance to all EHS required trainings Qualifications #LI-AR7 SPECIALIZE KNOWLEDGE: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Materials Management or Industrial Engineering Minimum 3 years of experience in Materials Planning, Purchasing or Finance. Bilingual (English/Spanish). PC knowledge, Microsoft Office, AS400, Windows, Access, Ability to work under pressure and prioritize. Competences: Demonstrate a collaborative style, drives for results, makes decisions / solves problems, promotes & champion change and pursues personal development.
