Job Summary:

The Planner III, Supply Chain will be part of a team responsible for the production planning and material readiness of all phases of Manufacturing at Viral Vector Services (VVS). This role is responsible for using best practices in materials planning, ERP systems and project management to support VVS projects. This individual works within a Planning Team responsible for managing program Bill of Materials (BOM), inventory levels and strategies.

JOB OBJECTIVE:

This role is responsible for managing client programs, ensuring material availability and readiness. This requires working with VVS core teams to understand material requirements and program timing to support operations

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Job Function (In order of %)

1) 40% Daily planning operations supporting the manufacturing facility; planning for and ensuring availability of raw materials, components, and resources per the site’s detailed manufacturing schedule. Review cGMP production records to provide impact assessments and perform associated inventory transactions in the ERP system. Generate Excess and Obsolescence (E&O) and Expiry reports.

2) 20% Develop, maintain and evaluate required Bill of Materials, Recipes, and Production Versions in the site’s SAP ERP environment in accordance with the site Master Production Schedule (MPS). Ensuring all additional required Production Planning master data is accurate.

3) 20% ERP System Subject Matter Expert (SME). Provide training and perform testing for SAP Production Planning module as needed. Develop and maintain associated procedures and work instructions to ensure accurate use of the ERP system. Drive SAP enhancements to utilize existing functionality, to drive efficiency in Planning processes.

4) 20% Support New Product Introduction to VVS. Work with internal teams, including Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Engineering. Understand material requirements, identify risks and create strategies to mitigate risk. Provide material readiness assessments to internal and external (client) stakeholders.

This role is responsible for ensuring material readiness supporting client production activities. The planner is a key member of a core team to bring innovative medicines to people.

This role is a key member of the program teams, representing Supply Chain. This individual drives material readiness, communicates with key stakeholders and drives process efficiencies.

This individual will work within the Supply Chain Planning Team to understand material requirements, program timing and ERP system functionality to successful plan for production activities.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-7 years of Planning experience
  • cGMP Experience preferred
  • APICs / Lean / Operational Excellence preferred 
  • ERP System Experience (SAP / Oracle) 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
