This is a Planning & Fulfillment Manager role reporting to the Operating Unit Manager in the Business Area – Motion located in Shanghai, China. You will lead the inventory and planning activities for the Local Product Group, develop and deploy Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Inventory Management best practices and solutions for the entire value chain of the local unit in line with the Global Business Unit strategy. Be accountable for end of pipe metrics: customer on time delivery, lead-time, inventory, net working capital, and forecast accuracy. You will own and run the IBP process.

Your responsibilities

  • Leading the local Integrated Business Planning process to align demand, production, material and financial planning for the entire value chain of the local unit.
  • Developing single integrated rolling demand and supply plan for business execution and improves plan accuracy.
  • Establishing and maintaining inventory management processes and guidelines in line with Group/Division/Business Unit instructions.
  • Developing E2E process optimization, externally and intra-company, to reduce overall VC lead-times, and reducing inventory. Owning the Inventory Checkbook (ICBK) for the Local Business Unit/Local Product Group.
  • Making detailed gap analyses across the value chain and provides solutions to reach expected customer service levels at optimized inventory levels by utilizing value chain assessment methods on a regular basis.
  • Providing local leadership to the units to use best practices in ERP for inventory management and control.
  • Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
  • Guiding, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies, for the benefit of both ABB and the employee.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field
  • Minimum 10 years previous work experience in manufacturing environment required and 5+ Team Management experiences.
  • Must be familiar with SAP system and Purchasing Plan standards and practices and capability to resolve problems relating to supply concerns and issues.
  • Good data analysis ability, familiar with MS, good communication skills
  • Can smoothly write and speak in English.
  • Must be highly self- motivated, flexibility, willing to make change, and good teamwork spirit.
