Job Description
- The Controller is a key business partner who manages the financial and accounting operation and activities in accordance with prescribed Corporate, Divisional, and Plant policies and procedures. This position provides leadership and direction for all of the financial, cost accounting and general accounting functions of the plant. Analyzes and interprets all matters that have a financial impact on the plant and advises the leadership team in these matters. The Controller directs all budgeting, planning and forecasting as required by the Corporation, Division and Plant while driving process improvements within the finance organization. The Business Unit’s Financial Controller is responsible to drive Financial Planning (both short term and long term) to the organization, support growth initiatives, ensure internal and external compliance, financials regulations requirements are accomplished, develop Finance Department and with that guarantee all key strategic goals are achieved. A. To coordinate Financial Statements registration to assure accomplishment to US GAAP/IFRS B. To analyze sales, cost of sales, expenses, trends and performance vs plans and forecast. C. To ensure good and reliable internal controls and processes meets internal and external requirements. D. To coordinate periodical/annual physical inventories, standard cost revaluations, Inventory reserves, BOM and routers revision to ensure inventory balances are properly reported and reserved. E. To help develop Annual budgets and Strategic plan to ensure alignment with division guidelines and objectives F. To control Capital expenses and perform ROI analyses on propose investments assuring Profit Plan Objectives G. To ensure BSC monthly data input and to coordinate monthly meeting to analyze results and implementation of proper action plans H. To ensure the best Fiscal practices are in place to maximized CFROGC I. To be responsible for accounts receivables, credit and collection function to avoid doubtful accounts and reduce cycle time. J. To provide guidance to the Cost Reduction Committee on acceptability of cost reduction or divergences from standard rules. K. To review Insurance policies to ensure adequate coverage and unnecessary risks. L. To comply with the responsibilities of the position in relation with MESH, Lean and EQS (Quality System) M. To ensure Finance department has a good Capability by attracting, developing and retaining talents in the Finance organization N. To ensure continues processes and technology improvements are planned and implemented. In this function you will: Establish, monitor and maintain a system of internal controls that safeguards company assets and provides for integrity and propriety of financial transactions and activities. Interpret, implement and monitor corporate policies and procedures, ensure financials are reported in compliance with Eaton financial policies and US GAAP, and maintain SOX controls. Deliver proactive, insightful analysis and is viewed as a key business partner. Effectively utilize proven analytical tools; rigorously analyze business data. Develop and lead systems and processes to support profit plan and forecasts. Measure performance against goals. Proactively seek opportunities to improve results through cost reduction, increased margins, and effective capital management. Develop, implement, and continuously improve business processes to prevent reporting errors. Maintain integrity of financial reports prepared by the plant. Effectively work with and leverage the Divisional Finance Function as appropriate. When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. #LI-MM3 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration from an accredited institution Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Accounting/Finance Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Fluent English (spoken and written) Preferred Qualifications: Oracle, SAP and Hyperion experience Strong financial analysis, planning, forecasting and reporting experience Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited institution CPA or CMA Position Criteria: Solid working knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
