Eaton’s Vehicle Group, Royal Power Solutions business is currently seeking a Plant Controller to join our team. This position is based at our Carol Stream, IL manufacturing facility. Relocation assistant benefit are available to those willing to relocate to the Chicagoland area. Sponsorship is not available for this position. We make the electric revolution work. Position Overview: This position is a key member of the site leadership team and will report directly to the Finance Director. This role is instrumental to define strategy and manage business performance including all financial analysis of forecasts and actual performance, business drivers, and operational metrics. This position is based out of the Carol Stream, IL manufacturing site. In this function you will: • Develop and coordinate plant profit plans, strategic plans, monthly forecasts, goals & objectives, financial reconciliations, reports and analysis for plant management, including variance analysis and cost control reporting and recommendations. • Consolidate Carol Stream, IL Plant performance, Mexico Maquila and Functional Budgets (Admin, Sales, Ops) • Manage, analyze, evaluate and interpret financial statements and operating results. Inform management of results and recommend corrective actions to address unfavorable variances. • Review, analyze and evaluate financial data and information for accuracy, consistency and transparency. Maintain integrity of financial reports prepared by the plant. • Interpret, implement and monitor corporate policies and procedures, ensure financials are reported in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and local statutory requirements. • Develop and implement budgeting and financial reporting systems to provide timely and relevant information to plant, division, and Industrial Sector and cost control. Control and maintain adequate product costing systems for valuation and cost estimating activities. • Own overall internal controls processes to maintain integrity of general ledgers involved and its supporting sub-systems. Assess adequacy of reserves and overall financial reporting. Ensure adequate training and oversight is provided to all finance personnel to ensure account reconciliations meet Eaton’s requirements. Provide leadership and support for the Balance Sheet Review process. • Establish, monitor and maintain a system of internal controls that safeguards company asset and provides for integrity and propriety of financial transactions and activities. • Evaluate and approve Plant capital appropriation requests prior to Royal Leadership and corporate management approval. • Manage hiring, training and development of financial staff. Establish a work environment that encourages individual career development and growth in order to provide adequate and qualified financial professionals opportunity for advancement. • Manage the deployment of cost saving and other programs to provide operating economies and improve profitability. Monitor and provide opportunities to support continuous improvement of Plant Productivity / Gross Utilization. Support other Operations initiatives including EBE, MESH, ELSS and other BPI efforts. • Ensure that the appropriate plant quality policy and system are thoroughly implemented in the finance function. Ensure all finance responsibilities are defined and communicated throughout the plant with specific responsibilities and appropriate timing. Ensure deployment of finance standard work. • Provide leadership to ensure adequate cost accounting processes are in place, including standard cost updates, physical inventory verification, periodic cycle counts, etc. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business from an accredited institution. 1 year or more professional work experience in a Manufacturing environment. Minimum seven (7) years of professional work experience in finance or accounting role Proficient in Microsoft Office and Business Intelligence tools and Knowledge of ERP, Business Intelligence and Financial Reporting systems such as (Oracle, MFGPro, ENCORE, etc.) Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future Preferred Qualifications: CPA/CMA Certification or equivalent local professional qualification MBA or MS Operations Management preferred Bilingual skills in Spanish Understanding of commercial and manufacturing processes. Broad knowledge of key operational systems including sales inventory operations planning (SIOP), materials planning systems (MRP), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and quality systems with diverse experience managing varied and complex manufacturing processes. Strong leadership skills along with proven capability to deliver results and build high performance teams. Must have a strong operational and financial acumen, executive presence and the ability to lead engage across businesses internally and externally.
