Job Description :

Main activities

Manage plant operations for production [PVC compounding, extrusion, converting], maintenance, planning, quality, raw material sourcing and shipping and receiving.

Coordinate plant activities to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.

Manage the factory P&L and budget.

Implement cost effective systems of control over operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.

Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production.

Implement and maintain group quality standards.

Control and minimize raw material stocks (and recycling)

Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.

Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.

Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs.

Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.

Provides direction, development and leadership to production supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibility

The plant director manages all employees of the production/logistic/purchasing/maintenance/human resources/finance departments and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within these departments. Are excluded the commercial and marketing activities.

Travel

The function is subject to various travelling (local and overseas supplier audits, international group comities, international group training).

Required Education and Experience

Master’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent

Ten years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment.3

Background in a European or American company is a plus
