Job Description

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Plant Genotyping Workflow Planner, are to: 

 

  • Establish and maintain partner-focused success metrics and associated dashboards;
  • Manage capacity planning of multi-location genotyping and sequencing labs;
  • Understand partner organizations' current business needs and strategic directions and their impact on genotyping workflows;
  • Establish and maintain clear communications with partner organizations;
  • Provide genotyping lab production planning including detailed scheduling
  • Make exception management (including bottleneck management, request changes, capacity utilization);
  • Drive process standardization and efficiency improvement through constant review of Key Performance Indicators and initiating improvement measures;
  • Work with precision genomics workflow lead to identify and develop new and more efficient workflows to apply genomics data to improve or accelerate pipeline decisions;
  • Leverage business acumen in a fast-paced team environment to accelerate our efforts on building an analytics-driven product pipeline;
  • Solve complex problems requiring original thinking and deductive reasoning;
  • Lead workflow optimization and method validation projects using multiple data sources;
  • Use specialized knowledge when identifying and implementing process improvements;
  • Present compelling, validated stories to all levels of organization, including peers, senior management and internal customers to drive both strategic and operational changes in business.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor of Science with at least five years of relevant experience or Master of Science with at least two years of relevant experience or Ph.D. with minimum years of relevant experience;
  • Familiarity with breeding and biotech pipelines;
  • Experience with genotyping, genomics, sequencing technologies;
  • Demonstrated history of establishing and maintaining effective relationships;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Experience working on and leading cross functional teams.
