Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Plant Manager is responsible for direct the daily operations and support services of the site. Overall responsibility for leading plant teams in achieving High 5 metrics: Safety, Quality, Customer Delivery, Cost and Inventory. Leader responsible of managing with the team the achievement of production schedule, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals. Provides leadership to all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements. Drives performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals. Leverages resources and motivates personnel to create high performance and team-based culture. Responsible for all production and related activities at the company in areas to include: production, manufacturing engineering, materials, logistics, purchasing, supplier and product quality, finances, safety and human resources. ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS: Provide leadership, direction and manage site operations to include manufacturing, operational excellence, materials, quality, EHS and human resources Develop, implement, and review suitable short- and long-range plans to achieve assigned Plant and group objectives such as the profit plan, strategic plan, human resource organizational capability plan and forecasts based on customer Coordinate and direct through managers, all functions of facility operations, including but not limited to manufacturing, asset utilization, inventory control, maintenance, cost control, manpower utilization, work standards and administration Responsible for contributing to the development of all plant policies, consistent with the direction of the overall Eaton organization Review, maintain, control, implement corrective action and regularly report on the financial progress of the plant within the assigned group to maintain profit plan expectations Implementation and adherence to the Eaton Business System, Eaton Quality System, and Eaton Lean Six Sigma Foster an environment of Employee Engagement by embracing Continuous Improvement culture tools Ensure that Eaton policies, practices and initiatives are implemented and followed Ensure compliance with all government, financial, environmental and labor regulations Represent Eaton in local organizations and community service activities Drives customer satisfaction, cost of quality, inventory, productivity, organizational development and other operations metrics of the facility Develops and maintains innovative and effective cost reduction programs throughout operations Communicate and provide leadership to ensure achievement of plant objectives: Tactical operational plans e.g. Profit Plan Goal Strategic Plans in alignment with divisional and group operational strategies. #LI-MM3 Qualifications SPECIALIZE KNOWLEDGE: Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Management or a related business field from an accredited institution required Minimum of 7 years prior Manufacturing Management positions experience in automotive industry or related product and manufacturing Knowledge of governmental/utility requirements for the facility is required Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques; as well as Safety/Environmental compliance experience. Good understanding of administrative knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure analysis, and wage and salary administration Must have good verbal and written communication skills in English-Spanish Preferred Qualifications: MBA and or CPA preferred.
