Plant Quality Manager

Location: Bosconero (TO)

This position is responsible for leading the execution and deployment of the defined Strategic Quality Plan in conjunction with plant leadership. Provides Total Quality Leadership to customers, suppliers, partners and internal manufacturing cells.  Supports continuous improvement activities in targeted areas. Manages the Quality Assurance strategy to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements.

 

Essential functions:

  • Establish and implement plant quality system in conjunction with IATF16949 standard and lead the activities of the Quality Department in accordance to Corporate policies and Group/Regional/Divisional procedures;
  • Implement systems and processes that deliver improvement toward 100% conformance to customer requirements
  • Drive metrics related to IATF 16949, EQMS and customer requirements to evaluate performance 
  • Drive reduction in variability/defects in business processes (Cost of Quality)
  • Oversight and review of ProLaunch/APQP quality activities and documentation
  • Analyze, review and development of functional competencies for Quality department
  • Build relationship with regional, divisional and corporate resources in order to support identification, review, prioritization and execution of key improvements opportunities/projects to drive results
     

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, etc.)
  • From 5 to 7 years of experience in Manufacturing Companies in similar roles
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in the area of Quality, continuous improvement, etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement methods, approaches and tools, including strategic management and project management.
  • In-depth experience with the practical application of Quality tools, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO-9001and IATF-16949
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others.
  • Ability to learn customers’ Quality requirements and drive process improvements.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus.
  • Fluent English; other languages will be considered as a plus
