Job Summary Lead the Quality Function for the plant in deploying the BU Quality Strategy & linked objectives for the Products, sub-assemblies or for components produced or distributed by the plant. Deliver Critical Solutions, Products & Services that meet or exceed Customers' expectations. Ensure fast detection and escalation path to address Customer Critical issues to ensure their rapid and efficient closure to keep customer loyalty high and facilitate customers' business opportunities. Ensure overall responsibility for quality issue resolution linked to the plant, managing the different departments, functions and suppliers Responsible for developing Plant Quality team and talents. Accountable for Plant Quality performance results aligned with profit planning E2E Quality performance on: Customer Complaints & satisfaction, Customer Escapes, Product reliability DPPM & cost of non-quality, Supplier Quality. OpEx on execution of Key Processes supporting Quality performance, OpA, EQMS (Eaton Quality Management System), Management Reviews to improve stakeholder satisfaction, focusing on external Customers Job Responsibilities Plant Process Quality & Management System: Drive Continuous Quality improvement in the Espoo 3-Phase UPS manufacturing Unit Contribute to development of a Quality Management System for the Product Line in coherence with the BU which is in full adherence with EQMS & ISO requirements, BU Key Processes and OpA criteria. Manage all required 3rd party, internal and customer audits & assessments to detect gaps, address them through corrective and preventive actions addressing mid & long term Mgt System improvements. Supplier Quality: Measure & manage suppliers quality perf. & improvements (Internal & External) by ensuring regular reviews with all key plant support functions following the company policies (cost of non-quality, safety alert, PPAP, supplier complaints, …) Ensure “Critical Suppliers / Critical Components are kept under strict surveillance & control. Report & address risks to ensure rapid mitigation/tracking/resolution/closure, including full cost recovery when relevant. Customer Quality (when relevant to manufacturing quality problems) Ensure short and reactive quality loop to customer issues and promptly escalate critical issues (Q-alert, HSCQE) to ensure their fast & effective resolution, in connection w/ all relevant plant support functions and in total coordination with BU support functions. Propose improvements based on Customer feedback (e.g. Customer Complaints, Warranty Rates, Surveys, audits,…) to improve Customer Satisfaction & linked Quality Key metrics. Lead quality improvement actions within plant and supplier base, aiming for problem correction & prevention Design Quality (when applicable): During product development (G0-G4-5) coordinate preventive quality tools with Project Management & direct contributive functions (R&D, Support,…) and provide internal quality measurements w/ analysis to ensure issue mitigation/tracking/resolution/closure. Work in an NPD team with Purchasing and Ops to execute effective APQP processes with suppliers and internal stakeholders. From beginning of commercialization to time quality is stabilized (G6), provide Internal quality measurements w/ analysis, to ensure issue mitigation/tracking/resolution/closure. Ensure that Manufacturing process and Plant Quality Processes are supporting meeting the Quality Goals Drive Quality standard deployment and Quality reporting with BU to ensure full alignment within Business Unit & Division. Drive & develop quality team and talents, to plan resources & competences on long term, through deployment of BU and local plant organizational & functional competencies to support the Key Strategic Quality initiatives. Drive Zero Incident Culture in his/her team. Qualifications Master’s degree required, preferably in Engineering or other technical discipline. Preferred Education Level Several years work experience in electrical / Automotive business (manufacturing and quality) in Quality functions. 5+ years functional leadership. Technical Knowledge/Soft Skills Knowledge and experience in all Quality Functions: Manufacturing Quality, Customer Quality, Design Quality, Product & Process Quality, System Quality in addition to ISO Certification experience. EBS – OpA knowledge or similar TQM approach Able to demonstrate a track Quality record of achievement Early knowledgeable of International / Customer product specifications/ requirements. Understanding manufacturing technologies and processes Understanding of customer and market requirements Possesses fine communication skills as well as the ability to hold presentations Six Sigma Training or certification is desirable. Soft Skills Very good interpersonal/presentation skills & Communication both external w/ Customers & authorities and internal. Proven leadership capabilities Thinking in a creative manner and concurrently focused on problem-solving Ability to define and roll-out strategies for quality. Are you interested?
