Job Description
Introduction
Adgen Biotechnology Ltd is a young fast growing biotechnology company, based in Beijing, selling imported food safety and plant test kits, machines and services. Adgen is the exclusive China distributor (excluding dairy & beverage) for Neogen Corporation, a NASDAQ listed multinational food safety and plant company.
Adgen has been operational for 5 years, and has grown sales by 200% a year for the last 3 years. Adgen has also worked closely with the government on several high profile projects, and performed extensive market research and marketing activity in China. At our Beijing office we have full laboratory training facilities, and an experienced, internationally trained technical support team.
We currently sell direct, and through several sub-distributors.
Our customers include the MOA, FDA, CDC, AQSIQ, international food and plant companies, local plant companies, pharmaceutical companies. Any previous sales experience to any of these customer groups is an advantage.
Adgen is an ambitious company with a mission to dominate the imported Plant product market in China. We have excellent support from Neogen to grow the business, and our aim is to continue our high growth performance over the next 5 years.
Neogen products are market leaders in the US and Europe, we are now looking for a high performing sales manager to help us continue our rapid expansion, and achieve the same success in China that Neogen products enjoy in the rest of the world.
The successful applicant will be given full responsibility for one sector initially - sales, marketing, and staffing. The territory is all of mainland China.
We are looking for someone very ambitious, who can work on their own initiative to build a high performing sales team in multiple locations across China. Find and engage new distributors and creatively discover new distribution channels and opportunities.
Benefits
Starting salary is 5,000RMB/Month, with a 5% commission on sales. Minimum target earnings are 15,000RMB/Month.
International travel and training will also be possible.

Overall Purpose
Meet or exceed sales objectives of assigned territory by promoting and selling products through professional sales techniques, product service, and long term customer relationships.
Motivate and monitor sales team member’s performance, assist and encourage team members.
Major Activities – Ensure that yourself and your team members
Create quarterly sales targets and plans with senior management.
Meet and exceed sales targets; achieve maximum sales in assigned territory.
Make sales calls and visits as specified in quarterly sales plan.
Target prospects and customers by present and potential RMB of revenues/profits, cost to sell and service, and probability of success.
Allocate time and call frequency based on above targeting.
Make the appropriate number of calls on prospects versus customers. Identify potential growth areas, and open new accounts.
Increase market share by contacting a variety of customers and prospects to promote and sell products, communicate special programs, present marketing/advertising programs and new products, handle and process support issues, prepare and conduct training, collect competitive information, handle and resolve problems and complaints, and collect overdue receivables.
Prepare written presentations, reports, and price quotations.
Sell at transaction price approved for this type of customer.
Maintain accounts receivables in compliance with objectives.
Conduct customer education and product information meetings.
Continually learn new product knowledge and acquire better selling skills.
Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues, products, and markets.
Attend and participate in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows.
Create customer sales programs
Time management – Ensure that yourself and your team members
Work a 40 hour, five day week.
Do necessary overnight travel.
Maximize percent of time talking to customer.
Minimize travel time.
Call on accounts in clusters.
Self organization – Ensure that yourself and your team members
Plan each day, week and month.
Plan each call.
Keep sales aids in mint condition.
Dress neatly.
Present professional image.
After each call complete tasks in CRM.
Administrative – Ensure that yourself and your team members
Maintain customer profiles and CRM
Submit the following in a timely manner; sales plans, forecasts, expenses reports.
Communicate competitive information to team.
Complete and submit contracts for orders.
Use IT to save time.
Analyzing/monitoring data and reports.
Company Relations – Ensure that yourself and your team members
Comply with all company policies and operate within expense budget
Work with, develop positive relationships with, communicate with, and coordinate activities with other.
Communicate effectively; cooperate with your fellow salespeople and management.
