Technology Standardization Management (TSM) is a global technology experts team in charge of Technology Standardization on Component and Raw Material technology for global Schneider Electric, locates in 3 regions (Asia Pacific, North America, Europe).

• Plastic materials (thermoplastics, thermoset)

• Plastic additives

The TSE will mainly support the R&D Team, Purchasing Team etc. in Asia Pacific region (China, Singapore, Australia, India, Japan, etc) in this technology domain. The TSE will be responsible to coordinate TSEs in NA/EU region to drive technology strategy and roadmap definition & execution.

According to business need, the engineer may participate to national or international travels in Schneider R&D centers, Manufacturing plants or Suppliers.

Responsibility

• Lead technology standardization rule definition of plastic material selection & application for global Schneider Electric. Promote technical rules and best practices by guidelines or directives etc.

• Provide technical support to Asia-Pacific R&D teams for the plastic materials selection, design application, quality issue and risk analysis etc, furthermore propose risk mitigation plan, alternative solution etc.

• Follow plastic material standard evolution in AS region, investigate supplier roadmap and technology trend in the global market; Prospect and identify new innovative solutions for Schneider Electronic product design.

• Cooperate with Global Supply Chain Commodity Team and Contribute to the definition of the global purchasing strategy

• Approve new material and Maintain existing ones in Corporate level Standardized Component & Raw Material Database to present technology offer.

• Educational Background: Polymer Science & Engineering, Material Science or Engineering, Polymer Chemistry etc.

• Master with 5+ Year or PhD with 3+ Year Work Experience as Plastic Material Researcher or Plastic Material Engineer to support electrical product development. Successful experience (>2 years) in design, test or technical support function with plastic material technology is preferred.

• Solid knowledge on national & international standard, specification, characteristic, application of plastic material, plastic additive, functional polymer material etc.

• Good knowledge on processes include injection molding, compression molding, extrusion, and thermoforming etc.

• Good knowledge on related regulation RoHS, REACH etc

• Knowledge of the worldwide market, suppliers and technology trend of plastic materials

• Excellent communication skills including written and spoken English.

• International experience (study or work experience abroad) is preferred
