Conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research in the design, development, testing and utilization of information processing hardware and/or electrical components, mechanisms, materials, and/or circuitry, processes, packaging, and cabinetry for central processing units (CPUs) and/or peripheral equipment. Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports. Ensures products conform to standards and specifications. Develops plans and cost estimates and assesses projects to analyze risk. Develops procedures, analysis and design for computer components, products, and systems. Initiates, guides, and coordinates overall design and development of new ideas and products. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Education
Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; or a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent) with 5+ years of direct related experience.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience in the following:
- Experience on Intel architecture-based servers with knowledge of one or more of the following: microprocessor architecture, chipset architecture, system architecture, or platform hardware and/or firmware design.
- Strong lab, debug skills required.
- Experience with lab tools including DMMs, Protocol analyzers and high speed oscilloscopes.
- Must have experience supporting customers as PAE or have experience in the design or validation of Intel products.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience on Intel architecture-based servers with knowledge of one or more of the following:
- Microprocessor architecture, chipset architecture, system architecture, or platform hardware and/or firmware design of Intel I/O components is desirable.
- Board design and/or development experience would be an added advantage, with demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following: printed circuit board layout and/or routing and stack up and/or schematic capture (cadence as preferred tool); signal integrity; and modeling and/or simulation.
- 3+ years of experience working with MNC and costumer, training and creating collateral for customers would be an added advantage.
- 3+ years of experience creating technical documentation, debugging complex issues and customer support a definite plus.
- Willingness to travel.

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
