About The Role:
As Business Applications Platform Manager within the Group IT Solutions Delivery Team, you will be responsible for the online ordering, fulfilment & licensing solutions that support the business. You will work closely with all business functions to develop ideas and turn them into strategic roadmaps that support business objectives and goals, collaborating with colleagues across the wider Global IT team including Service, Infrastructure & Network
Key Responsibilities
* Directs implementation of processes, tools, metrics, initiatives and technology that will support the strategy and improve revenue generation & productivity
* Create the conditions for effective development of group wide strategies and tactics that support the short- and long-term strategic objectives
* Responsible for managing a governance framework and accelerating change
* Identify and rectify gaps in current processes.
* Be the visionary and evangelist to drive user adoption and exploitation of the current toolsets, as well as the day-to-day user support and maintenance.
* Provide operational visibility through business ownership of technologies and the documentation of best practice.
* The ability to manage business stakeholders to ensure appropriate prioritisation of demand to hit agreed business objectives.
* Ability to manage vendors taking appropriate measures for controlling costs, reducing potential risks relating to vendors and deriving the best value long-medium term.
* Operational responsibility for provision of support for ordering systems.
* Joint responsibility with procurement for costs of systems ensuring that appropriate controls are in place.
* Contribute to the construction and maintenance of training documentation of relevant systems.
* Responsible for the regular distribution of status reports that measure the team’s performance against agreed critical success criteria. You should seek to implement best practice in communication, sharing ideas with colleagues to ensure the wider team is always updated/briefed.
* Manage a small team and the workflow within that team. Offshore team experience would be beneficial
* Take responsibility for delivering key solutions by working with all business functions
* Ensure objectives and requirements are captured for new developments and create a project structure
* Develop and maintain roadmaps
* Ensure that all projects have clear ‘success metrics and report success/challenge back to the business accordingly
Essential skills:
* Experience using/working with online ordering, provisioning & licensing tools & solutions including subscription-based offerings
* Experience of complex integrations to other third-party solutions
* Understanding of entire software delivery cycle and stakeholder relationship management.
* Proven ability to understand business processes
* Proven experience in gathering and documenting complex Business Requirements.
* Knowledge and understanding of software development methodologies and industry best practice standards.
* Proven stakeholder management experience
* ITIL Experience would be beneficial
