Our Manufacturing Information Technology (MIT) systems at Intel are designed with capability and reliability in mind - as they support the 7x24 operations of Intel's global factory network from US, Costa Rica, Europe and Asia.
The MIT Compute and Storage (MCS) service is part of the Infrastructure organization and the MCS service is a large global service with a small local presence.
Our team installs, integrates, tests, configures and supports a host of Windows, UNIX and Virtual Machines (VMs), plus the storage environments for huge amounts of critical factory data. The team members co-ordinate customer requirements and deliver the technical infrastructure solution. They utilize advanced troubleshooting skills and Model Based Problem Solving (MBPS) methodologies to solve MIT systems issues. Members actively participate in virtual factory (VF) working groups to drive continuous improvement and achieve systems health goals, as well as emerging capability needs.

The role is a combination of working meetings and Data Centre activities. You will be working in the global infrastructure team, and as part of an Agile Persistent Team (APT). You will also work with vendors and other IT functions to land equipment and deploy proven state-of-the-art compute and storage technologies.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bsc. in Computer science / Software engineer/ Information systems
- Technical knowledge in computing infrastructure components, data centers, and system support
- Understanding of network technologies and IP stack (TCP IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, etc.)
- Understanding of Cloud Technologies: Docker, ContainerD, Kubernetes, Rancher, Object Storage, Software defined Storage LongHorn
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Microsoft Windows Server administration, UNIX or LINUX administration, Active Directory, clustering, Virtual Machine admin or web administration
- Scripting experience on a variety of platforms (PowerShell, JavaScript, vbscript, Python, Bash, Power BI)
- Experience in SAN ot NAS storage platforms (EMC VMAX, EMC PowerMax, HP 3PAR, NetApp and NetApp SnapVault)
- Knowledge of AWS Cloud technologies
- Understanding of Agile frameworks
- Experience with ServiceNow, JIRA, ELK

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.
Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
