PLUMBER
Responsible for the repair, maintenance, upkeep and replacement of the property's plumbing systems, in accordance with hotel standards, and in compliance with the city/state/federal inspection codes. Participate in the preventive maintenance program of all building equipment, guestrooms, meeting rooms, ballrooms, and all areas of the hotel Will assist in other areas of general maintenance operations as assigned.

What you will be doing:
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Check work orders and Engineering service request log for maintenance deficiency problems. Make rounds checking these problem areas and note any information needed or safety concerns in the hotel
- Perform all plumbing related duties
- Schedule work in accordance with preventive maintenance program in rooms
- Maintain par stock levels of standard plumbing fixtures, caulk, adhesives and other supplies. Communicate requisition needs to leadership team
- Assist with the fire/life safety system services, including but not limited to, the operation, maintenance and pump and emergency generator.
- Ensure that the swimming pool and equipment are properly maintained.
- Initiate cost estimates of labor and materials for specific projects
- Carry out any other tasks as assigned
Your experience and skills include:
- Possess a current Journeyman Plumber license
- 2-3 years of experience as a plumber
- Experience in a secondary trade an asset
- Working knowledge of all plumbing supplies and equipment and pool supplies and equipment
- Complete working knowledge of the systems associated with the guestrooms/meeting room’s operations/maintenance
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and refrigeration, appliance, operational problems and mechanical background
- Knowledge of physics, and able to read gauges
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling and disposal
- Working knowledge of health, plumbing, mechanical, and fire codes
- Working knowledge of blue prints, wiring schematics, power and hand tools, meters, gauges, etc. as it relates to the technical trades
- Compute basic mathematical calculations
- Computer literate
- Ability to interpret manufacturer’s literature for installation, preparation, use of upkeep of various materials and products used throughout the property
- Ability to work :
- Work and perform job functions with moderate supervision.
- Ability to assist with troubleshooting and use alternatives in emergency situations.
- Ability to work in close proximity to high-pressure steam of 150 pounds and hot water at 180 degrees
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
