Polish Copy Editor/Localisation Coordinator (Full-time, on-site in Warsaw or Krakow, Poland – 1 year FTE) 

SDL: Marketing Solutions is looking for a native Polish Copy Editor/Localisation Coordinator to work remotely from home with occasionally on-site at the client office in Warsaw or Krakow. Our client is an international home improvement company. The successful candidate will be offered a one year FTE contract and deploy to work at the client’s office in Warsaw or Krakow, starting ASAP. Due to the Covid-19 situation, you can start working remotely from home and work on-site as soon as it is safe to do so.

The main role is to facilitate and enable the co-ordination and linguistic validation of all translated marketing content, consisting of articles, videos primarily but also packaging and product technical data. This involves working with the OpCo market teams to facilitate the validation of translated content.

Role Objectives:

•    Proofread translated product content to agreed SLAs (video, article, range toolkits, product data, instruction manuals) translated by Kingfisher nominated agency. 
•    Proofread following Group terminology, Brand guidelines and local tone of voice
•    Ensure terminology is best fit for SEO purposes
•    Project manage and prioritise projects as per Group and Opcos requirements. 
•    Proofread content, as and when required
•    Collaborate with & building a rapport with the Group and local stakeholders as and when required: Product Content, Data Acquitisition, Application team, Digital, Communications, Masterdata, Market teams, Marketing teams and any other teams as required
•    Capture and report on amends to translations and feed back to the translation agency for quality improvement overtime
•    Work collaboratively with your counterparts in Krakow and the other markets, to align on the glossary, style guide, product knowledge and share learning, best practices, upfront work to ensure consistency and supporting with technical terminology for consistency
•    Propose process improvements for greater efficiencies 
•    Escalate issues to Localisation Lead and/or Localisation Manager

Role Capabilities – Technical Competencies:

•    Linguistic validation/proofreading 
•    Project co-ordination

Core Knowledge/Experience:

•    Native Polish Speaker with a very good command in English
•    3-5 years’ experience in copy-editing, proofreading, copywriting and some project coordination
•    Experience with SEO is desirable but not compulsory
•    Marketing communications, ideally customer facing in the retail industry with Ecomm/product line experience – ideally in DIY/home
•    Stakeholder management
•    Good project management skills to deliver projects on time, whilst managing stakeholder expectations and risks.
•    Process literate
•    To be able to evaluate systems and processes, make strong recommendations, lead change to improve effectiveness
•    Proven experience of operating cooperatively and collaboratively within a large group organisation
