We are looking for an experienced investment analytics professional to join our team based in Hangzhou, China. This is a new team in the process of being established in 2019.

As a team leader, your role will involve coordinating timely delivery of accurate analysis, assisting in resolving data integrity issues, staff training and measuring team performance. You will be an articulate communicator with ability to develop talent and build relationships across teams. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Analytics Oversight – Oversight of client reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of reports across Performance, Investment Compliance, Attribution and Ex-Post Risk.
• Client and Operational Reporting – Review/sign-off on all Analytics reports to ensure they are client ready and present regular metrics/KPI reporting across both the Product Oversight and upstream Operation Teams.
• Product Solutions – Coordinate efforts to build and implement custom product solutions according to specifications and controls.

• Process Improvement - Periodic review of operating processes to assess for improvement opportunities and oversee the execution of approved initiatives to increase efficiencies and reduce operational risk.

• Projects and New Business Support - Support all client on-boarding and major projects to completion.

• Resource Development - Drive ongoing cross-training / rotation program across both Product Oversight and upstream Operation Teams to ensure minimal fluctuations in service quality.

  
  

  Our preferred candidate will have more than 5 years’ experience in Investment Analytics that includes:

• Experience leading a small team of investment professionals
• Experience in building relationships at all levels and coordinating report delivery across locations
• Experience in interpreting and articulating investment guidelines for a diverse range of portfolios
• Preparing and validating investment performance, investment compliance, attribution and ex-post risk results for a diverse range of client portfolios
• Understanding of data requirements to produce accurate results
• Client service approach and taking ownership of responsibilities
• Proven knowledge of investment performance calculation and attribution methodologies
• Interpreting and articulating investment guidelines for a diverse range of portfolios to clients and demonstrated experience in mandate monitoring.
• Understanding of fund accounting principles, investment concepts and instruments
• University degree qualification (post graduate degree and/or a CFA®, CIPM®, FRM®, CAIA®, PRINCE2®, PMP® or Six Sigma Black Belt® is an advantage)
• Experience in both investment compliance and performance is preferred
