The opportunity:
As a Portfolio Analyst, you would be responsible for managing fund activity for AIA NZ Investment portfolios as it relates to cash, foreign exchange, and security positions to a set of predefined standards. You’ll ensure the operational performance of the fund best represents intended solution performance.
About the role:
Responsibility for daily liquidity levels and forecasted cash management of funds
Monitor and actively rebalance portfolio positions and daily cash flows arising from client applications and redemptions across all portfolios
Review and approve trading of securities as required by the outcomes of rebalancing
Manage AIA NZ’s cash portfolios and New Zealand listed property portfolios
Calculate and trade foreign exchange hedging contracts, based on prescribed limits
Calculate and trade value today and forward foreign exchange deals with an approved counterparty
Delivery of projects and process change to schedule and budget
Contribute to any projects relating to regulatory change
Provide regulatory reporting to External and Internal parities (RBNZ)
Ensure key change is effectively integrated into Investment Solutions procedures
Operate the Investment Solutions functions in accordance with Policies and Procedures
Support the Manager Investment Solutions in the development of Investment Solutions functions as required
Perform contribution and attribution analysis on asset allocation and hedging for monthly performance commentary
Provide commentary to internal clients on Investment Solutions performance as required
Actively (critical party) be involved in manager transitions with regards to liquidity and market exposure
Validate business benefit for proposed initiatives and deliver to those benefits
Build and develop key relationships with clients and support teams (Investment Administration)
Review legal documents such as investment statements and prospectuses to ensure the nature of funds is accurately represented
Represent Investment Solutions performance and attribution to relevant Investment Management Committee
Work with the Risk & Compliance on funds compliance with pre-determined internal and external limits
Work with AIA NZ’s outsource Investment Management partner on avenues for enhanced portfolio performance, such as tactical portfolio rebalancing
Provide support investment reporting to AIA NZ Product, including Asset Allocations, Gross and Net Performance

Role Related Experience
1 or more years of experience in the financial services industry
You may be CFA enrolled
Have a Bachelors Degree in Finance/Commerce
