Job Title / Role: Portfolio Consulting Professional –Service Sales Specialist Organization: Lead Country South Africa Location: South Africa Mission/Function of the Role Provides deep technical knowledge in an assigned portfolio and advises both sales organization and customers in capabilities and options how to use and integrate Siemens services and products effectively. Shares their passion and enthusiasm for technologies such as Consulting Services, Engineering and Integration Services, Analytics and AI Services, Industrial Security Services, Training Services, Support Services, Field & Maintenance Services, Spare Parts Services, Repair Services, Retrofit Services, Service Contracts Service Program and Platforms. Stays up to date with the latest developments within our portfolio. Plans and executes sales targets and activities in selling a specific portfolio to customers by combining and leveraging specialized product and services know-how in order to increase sales and to achieve defined commercial targets The Sales Specialist enables the Digital Enterprise Services (DES) Business for Southern and East Africa including the Lead Country Bundle (LCB) What are the responsibilities: Supports the respective sales organization in approaching and serving potential customers best and advise both sales organization and customers in capabilities and options how to use and integrate Siemens' Service offerings effectively Serves sales organization and customers as an expert in application with respect to the portfolio of the assigned organizational unit. Constantly analyzes service portfolios of the dedicated customers overall goals and objectives. Consults with customer stakeholders to integrate Siemens' services and gives strategic, commercial and organizational recommendations. Creates respective technical and commercial concepts and offerings to support the sales process. Plans and completes consulting assignments to industry partners on technical and commercial level. Take responsibility for new orders or consulting projects. Support the sales organization in contract negotiations at all stages with information and analyses. Responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities and innovating consulting portfolio by ensuring: Sales and revenue responsibility for DES within the LCB, support the growth and profitability targets of the global Division. Develops and manages customer relations to support growth. Additionally, provide customer feedback, market and competitor information to local company and HQ. Accountable for the implementation of the agreed regional strategy in the country assigned, incl. development and implementation of a successful strategy in marketing, sales, project execution & service. Drive Business through regular performance dialogues with DES Management and directly with the assigned areas/countries in order to drive the business with comprehensive knowledge, judgment and controlling of the business portfolio in the zone.Participates, manages, assesses and develops leadership team with fellow peers in the LCB to ensure long-term target achievement with motivated staff- including joint development of talents and considering diversity. Defines and implements the most effective and efficient country bundle organization including its support functions to reach the most competitive setup. Identifies demand creation activities / drive portfolio changes and competency in the regions Internal Grip Description: Plans sales volumes and potential of target customers. Provides information via CRM for forecasts and planning. Analyses and evaluates markets (both technology and product portfolio) and needs of potential or existing customers. Investigates and evaluates specific business opportunities for the customer related product and service portfolio. Prepares customer contacts, builds and maintains a customer focused network. Prepares and negotiates projects and proposals in cooperation with other involved professionals and management. Coordinates the realization of assignments, may coordinate and contribute to set up respective product developments, projects or services programs for the customer. May act as point of contact in commercial matters. Completes sales and revenue related key reporting. Contributes to the development of an After Sales Service that is focused on customers’ needs. What Qualifications/Experience is Required: Electronic / Electrical Engineering Degree 5 – 8 Years experience in Business Development, Services and Product consultation for DES portfolios Previous Services project experience is advantageous Must be able to educate sales team and channel partners to multiply efforts Actively participates in account planning alongside the local sales for strategic opportunities. Provides customers and account representatives with strategy and solution advice and support during pre-sales discussions on service solutions. Assists to develops and present Service solution proposals, including estimating, compiling bill of materials, system architecture diagrams and RFP/RFQ responses. Provides technical assistance to focus customers.
