As s Portfolio Manager your primary role is to develop and deliver a fully
aligned assortment and product merchandising (“line-up”) plan for the
Commercial portfolio and SMB segment for our most important webstores. Working
with critical stakeholders, you will assess the historical, current and future
potential performance of the webstore based on influencers such as product
mix, pricing aggression, promotional impact, as well as the mix of customized
vs standard specifications, market brand preferences and premiums, online
exclusivity opportunities, bundling opportunities, segment targeting
opportunities, and more, in order to determine a defined and aligned
assortment line up, by day/week/campaign period, to support the go-to-market
plans for the Online Sales Managers (OSM). For example, as an output, you will
deliver detailed plans, part-number specific, to enable the execution of final
product page and deals-page line-up’s for any given period, whether “business-
as-usual” or for a line-up against a specific planned campaign.
Collaboration is crucial to the role – where alignment with local 4P team
members is essential to optimize channel harmony. Well in advance of any site
execution, you will be expected to support the OSM in ‘negotiating’ the best
possible assortment and pricing outcome for both the online business and
regional business overall – with a partnership approach with the local 4P
teams and with the full support of the OSM to drive those negotiations to the
relevant conclusion.
Strong support will be provided for product and assortment recommendations
from the EMEA Online product management team who will share details on new
products planned, portfolio expectations, regional & market opportunities. You
will also have support from another part of the Online team who will define
campaign themes and tactical promotion periods ahead of time, to enable you to
match required line-up to optimize performance any given campaign. And
finally, there will be plenty of data and analytical support from other team
members in the Online team to help ensure the best decisions are date-driven
and appropriate.

• Reporting to: Tier 1 OSM Leader
• Location: Chineham (UK), Dublin (IE), Stuttgart (DE), or Paris (FR)
Responsibilities:
• Deliver a high-level framework for product assortment and pricing for
Commercial / SMB products for each of the Tier 1 markets.
• Within this framework, and aligning to the agreed Campaign Plan for each
market, develop a detailed Part Number line-up definition that will drive
optimal business performance
• Develop an optimal mix of Series, Sub-Series, exclusives, bundles,
HPB/MPB/LPB (High, Medium, Low Price band mix) to optimize revenue and
profitability.
• Define how the LenovoPRO (SMB segment closed store) experience will differ
to the Public webstore in any given period.
• Work with Global CoE team to understand the broader opportunities from new
products, supply & inventory insight by sub-series and component part (e.g.
AMD vs Intel, one type of panel vs another) – and to better define a relevant
assortment for each market that will likely drive optimal sales in any defined
campaign period
• Work with EMEA Campaign coordinator (in the Segment team) who will define
the optimal campaign plan across EMEA – for Tier 1 markets and Tier 2 overall.
Ensure that the assortment and pricing / promotions align to that Campaign
Plan in final execution to drive optimal business performance
• Work with the local 4P teams and the OSM to ‘negotiate’ the best line up of
exclusive products – in advance of each quarter – as well as defining the
exclusive products, bundles, and any relevant non-PC line-up as requested by
the OSM.
• You will be supported by data analysts from our central Analytics
organization and from a local eCommerce data & analytics team on historical
performance and detailed market pricing analysis to guide strong decision
making.
• On all the above – work under the guidance of the local OSM and Tier 1 OSM
Leadership to drive effective definition and guidance of the best possible
portfolio to hit the required sales targets
• Attend regular interlocks with the relevant stakeholder teams – whether
forward planning discussions and meetings or intra-week performance
optimization meetings,
• Support the OSM team in monitoring execution efficiency, and suggest new
ways of improving the Offer Management role
• Work in harmony with the Offer Management (Consumer) and Offer management
(Tier 2) team members to share best practice and best solution options

#### Position Requirements:
• Portfolio management / product planning experience preferred – and
preferably in an eCommerce environment although not essential
• 4P person “in-the-making” profile
• Proficiency with Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – with excellent
Excel knowledge
• Strong negotiation skills stakeholders of the business
• High business acumen to understand the drivers for profitability to drive
the optimal assortment and pricing decisions
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience in acquiring and manipulating large data files
• Critical thinking and problem solving
• Ability to interpret data and create a story for planning
• Project Management i.e., meeting timelines/milestones, accountability to
stakeholders, etc.
• Easily adaptable to change
• Detail-oriented
