Eaton’s Information Technology Cybersecurity & Risk Division is currently seeking a Portfolio Manager. This position can be based out of any U.S. Eaton facility. Position Overview: The constant attention that Cybersecurity demands is changing the role of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Given today’s business context and priorities, cyber-threat landscape, evolving Cloud adoption strategies, and multiple security requirements, the Office of the CISO has multiple simultaneous projects occurring within the portfolio that are necessary for protecting sensitive information and Eaton’s high value assets. The CISO is operating with a shortage of skilled cybersecurity professionals, this group (Office of the CISO) is continuously inundated with new requirements, experiencing difficulties balancing resources, and struggling to determine what Cybersecurity services to outsource, move, add, or eliminate. To improve some of these operating difficulties, we are establishing a portfolio approach to manage our Cybersecurity program. Some of the benefits include improvement in the project prioritization and project selection process, better visibility across the Cybersecurity portfolio, and improved alignment of projects with the organization’s business goals. Other benefits include more efficient use of resources, improvements in the accuracy of performance metrics, timelier project deliverables, decreases in project risks, and more informative decision making. Essential Responsibilities: This position will be responsible to support the VP & CISO and his/her team to build a portfolio of mechanisms that deliver the maximum protection of what is most important to IT and Eaton for the least amount of money and effort. This role will help optimize the returns of the cybersecurity portfolio investment in different asset classes. This includes IT assets, Manufacturing (OT) assets, Internet of Things (IoT) assets and their effectiveness on protecting them. Track Information Security finances. Manage the Information Security Portfolios (initiatives, capabilities, performance, etc.) Coordinate project managers. Consolidate the Information Security Program. Measure effectiveness or our security capabilities and make recommendations as appropriate. Tracks and consolidates Information Security metrics for an effective decision-making process at different levels of the organization (technical and executive levels). Coordinates the identification of most valuable information and information systems assets (crown jewels). Recommends allocation of spending according to risk. Facilitates conversations with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to recommend how much we should spend on each type of risk we face versus what we are trying to protect. Along with SME’s defines which capabilities will effectively protect our information and information assets. Helps choose the right products. Rebalance as needed: Managing a portfolio is an ongoing process. Keep track of changes to our business and the larger industry landscape as well as product innovations, and risks, and rebalance our portfolio accordingly. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required. Minimum 10 years’ experience as an internal auditor, compliance, finance, and/or security management professional. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of any Eaton facility in the United States will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
