How will you make an impact? (Objective)
To increase the warehouse and distribution productivity, executing the operational activities on a daily basis that support the key metrics of Supply Chain.
 

Jr. Product Manager (Safety, Personal Protective Equipment) reports to the Commercial Manager and works in close co-operation either with Product Managers in the United States and our international Suppliers, to ensure an effective portfolio strategy is developed and achieved in the market in Safety Market

the Jr. Product Manager (Safety, Personal Protective Equipment) works collaboratively with the American Product Management leveraging supplier’s global contracts and relationships and ensures the portfolio strategy is implemented by the Commercial Field Sales. They will interact with the relevant Commercial, Marketing, and Supply Chain Leadership.

This position will be tasked with the management of a product portfolio to ensure correct supplier/product positioning, pricing and promotions are used to drive revenue growth. Suppliers will be managed through regular supplier engagement and business reviews to secure appropriate supplier engagement and support.

The Jr. Product Manager (Safety, Personal Protective Equipment) can also be tasked with specific projects in relation to the categories they are supporting.

What will you do? (Responsibilities)           

  • Develop and implement portfolio or product strategies through the commercial teams, marketing campaigns and activities.
  • Develop and manage a range of suppliers' performance Programs. Ensure maximum engagement of the suppliers in supporting the strategy deployment and improving customer experience.
  • Track and analyze the strategy deployment through revenue growth, profitability, and share gain in the defined territory. Define corrective action and implement to ensure the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) is met or exceeded.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the portfolio, the breadth of brands and competitors, and the range of requirements demanded by our customers
  • Develop an internal and external network and data sources to provide market intelligence across the Mexican Market
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the portfolio/suppliers. Develop and maintain the required connections between our internal functions and our suppliers.
  • Prepare analytic sales data, develop corrective actions and participate in quarterly business reviews when required with the top-tiered suppliers.
  • Problem-solve product/supplier support requests coming from internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage a range of suppliers' performance

How will you get here?
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a scientific field desired. An advanced degree in business or science is preferred.
  • 2+ years of safety industry experience, preferably in a commercial or portfolio management role.
  • Up to 20% travel in North America
  • Strong financial analysis, negotiation, and project management skills
  • Confidence and poise to present, negotiate and manage a relationship with the Director and Vice President level supplier partners.
  • Sales, marketing, or other commercial functional knowledge.
  • Ability to develop/implement strategies and sound recommendations based on both quantitative and qualitative inputs with an understanding of financial drivers.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, customer orientation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding organizational, planning, process development, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent PC skills required – Excel / Project Management software / Database (Access), etc.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
