Position Summary:

We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to join the CITIES Solution Management Team within our Product Advancement Group. As Portfolio Product Manager you will be responsible for building synergistic workflows and experiences to utilize the Bentley software portfolio to grow Bentley’s product adoption globally. The ideal candidate will execute key growth initiatives focused on unlocking remarkable experiences for targeted industry user bases and have an immediate impact on the growth of the CITIES portfolio. You will be responsible for tracking industry trends, identifying opportunities, and working closely with the industry, sales, and product development teams to continually drive innovation.

 

The ideal candidate has experience with consumption-based sales models and is customer-oriented with great listening and communication skills. You will need to successfully work with cross-functional teams, understand what is needed to successfully build and market products, and coordinate with both business and technical teams. You must be able to work independently and have a history of successful product implementations. You will leverage your technical skills and industry background to influence Bentley's Cities offerings. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research and collect customer feedback to identify and prioritize product requirements
• Create and validate business cases by specifying key market needs
• Work with key customers and industry groups to identify market opportunities and persistent gaps to be addressed to add value to customers
• Guide and facilitate User Guided Development initiatives with strategic customers
• Contribute to product strategy and roadmap definition
• Coordinate and drive key priorities both within the CITIES team and across other departments (multiple product teams and marketing) to expedite time to market
• Define software development specifications, build a backlog, and manage priorities against the available capacity of team members
• Update and maintain product launch plans
• Document new product functionalities and processes and edit related industry news
• Execute product presentations and demo scripts

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or relevant years of experience with software development (Engineering degree or MBA preferred)
• 5 years of experience as a product manager or product owner, preferred with background in SaaS business models
• Experience in technology development, ideally regarding API consumption and Cloud technology
• Excellent communication skills: able to translate critical technical details and communicate key information to non-technical audiences
• Proven experience in delivering software solutions and implementation projects
• Experience in applying a data-driven approach to analyze and react to market adoption
• Experienced in software and/or cloud service development and commercialization
• Proven experience in understanding corporate and public IT architectures

• Experience working with Design Thinking and Agile methodologies
• Prior experience within the AEC industry and/or cities
