Product Portfolio Manager II, Energy Infrastructure

Location:  This position can be remote based from a home office in North America.  Some travel is required to visit accounts and collaborate with Bentley colleagues.

 

Position Summary:

We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Product Portfolio Manager to join our Energy Infrastructure Team. The Energy Infrastructure team is responsible for the positioning of the entire Bentley portfolio of software within the energy industry, and the development of our industry specific design and digital twin solutions.  We lead with a digital twin vision, and our digital twin software is an open, scalable cloud software-as-a-service that enables engineering firms and owner-operators to create, visualize, and analyze digital twins of energy infrastructure assets.

 

You will be responsible for building synergistic workflows and experiences that utilize the Bentley portfolio to grow Bentley product adoption globally.  You will define and execute key growth initiatives focused on unlocking remarkable experiences for our users.  There is an opportunity to substantially shape the role and have an immediate impact on the growth of the energy industry portfolio. 

 

The ideal candidate is familiar with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings and has experience with consumption-based sales models.  They are customer-oriented with great listening and communication skills. This position is highly cross-functional working closely with industry, sales, marketing and product development teams to continually drive innovation. You must be able to work independently and have a history of successful product implementations. You will leverage your product management skills and industry background to influence Bentley's rapidly growing SaaS offerings. 

 

Your Day-to-Day:

• Clearly demonstrate value across the entire portfolio that drives overall user acquisition and depth of usage across the entire energy portfolio
• Lead the strategy and implementation of customer growth product initiatives
• Own the process of collecting growth ideas, shaping them into hypotheses, prioritizing them, running AB tests, and reporting on outcomes across the portfolio and driving proposals for packaging/pricing.
• Create business cases to drive internal investments, partnerships, and mergers & acquisitions
• Evaluate, challenge, and adjust strategic go-to-market plans, including pricing & product packaging, to meet evolving business and market requirements
• Work with key customers and industry groups to identify market opportunities and persistent gaps to be addressed to add value to customers
• Conduct internal and external research on the market, competitors, and customer personas
• Partner with internal stakeholders to define and develop sales tools

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or relevant years of experience (Engineering degree or MBA preferred)
• Strong background in the electric energy industry in generation, transmission, or distribution across the design, build, and operate workflows
• 8+ years of experience in a product management and/or product marketing
• 5+ years of management experience leading teams and delivering results
• Proven experience in delivering software products and projects
• Experience in balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity
• Experience in applying a data driven approach to analyze and react to market adoption
