The FCE portfolio delivers billions of dollars in construction projects around the world, and the successful delivery of these contribute to Intel's success.
The role of the Portfolio Risk Manager is to lead the identification, tracking, responding to, and reporting on FCE's long range risk profile. They will also work across the programs and projects to communicate risk policies and processes and elevate FCE's risk maturity and acumen to better plan for and respond to risk for the benefit of the program. They provide hands-on development of risk models involving external risk, program delivery and operational risk, assure controls are operating effectively, and provide research and analytical support across the construction team.
This role will report to the Strategic Portfolio Director. If not based in Arizona, frequent travel to the Arizona site will be required.
As a Portfolio Risk Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Define and document a clear approach, methodology and tools to visualize, interpret and track the whole-of-FCE risk position globally. You will leverage existing Intel tools and methods, industry best practice, and other solutions as needed. This will include consideration to both internal and external environments.
- Engage and coordinate broadly across FCE and the wider Intel business, to undertake in-depth risk assessments, to identify, document, quality, and plan for internal and external risks to delivery.
- Undertake detailed analysis of the portfolio risk, in terms of schedule, cost, resource, risk, and inter-dependencies, to identify areas of concern, and provide guidance to the business on course correction.
- Quantify FCE's risk position financially, and monitor this position across a long-term timeframe.
- Support the Strategic Portfolio Director and Governance Manager in building program and project-level risk discipline and acumen.
- Create meaningful and insightful reporting to the leadership team on progress and performance.
- Undertake independent controls assessments across the portfolio to determine the effectiveness of risk controls, and adoption of processes.
- Draw a link to risk management practices at both the portfolio and program / project levels, to quantifiable value to FCE.
- Take a continuous improvement lens to all work undertaken at the portfolio level, and incorporate lessons learned where possible.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must have at least one of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field with 6+ years of experience in risk and controls/compliance/legal/finance/audit or operations role with knowledge of large scale construction and scheduling.
- Master's degree in business, engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience in risk and controls/compliance/legal/finance/audit or operations role with knowledge of large scale construction and scheduling.
- 10+ years of experience in risk and controls/compliance/legal/finance/audit or operations role with knowledge of large scale construction and scheduling will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISO31000 (Risk Management) experience.
- Risk Management or audit certification.
- Program management certification.
- Controls testing expertise.

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
